Finally a good update, on my foot :)

I'm hesitate to even post this LOL but I'm going to anyways. I had my doctor appointment today for my foot and overall everything went really good. I no longer have to wear all of my bandages. The hole in the bottom of my foot is almost completely closed and my skin graft on the top of my foot looks really good as well.

What does this mean?? 1st off, I can finally take a bath with BOTH legs in the tub!!! For the last 2 1/2 months, I haven't been able to get my foot wet. It's amazing what little things we take for granted. I am also going to be wearing a compression stocking on my foot all during the day (I won't wear it at night). It is super, super tight so I will have to get used to that. It is supposed to help with my blood flow issues in my foot. It still turns purple when down without the bandage but this stocking is supposed to help with that, with swelling and with excessive pain as well.

My doctor doesn't want me to come back for a month. This is huge since I have been having to go to the doctor once or twice a week since I had the surgery on December 15th. My heel chord is still very tight. I can't put my foot flat at all. I have many stretching moves that he showed me today. My doctor also wants me to get a Foot Whirl Pool and soak my foot several times a day and also do deep tissue massage to my foot several times a day as well. I have a feeling that walking is going to  have to be learned again. Kind of like when a child starts walking for the 1st time. I am excited that we are finally moving in that direction. It is just going to take time. I had major surgery on my foot and I have to remember that. My foot will not fit in a shoe at all (mainly because of the position it seems to be stuck in) and my doctor doesn't want me trying to put my foot in one yet. He knows me LOL b/c I would have tried. I do wish that I had a magic wand that would just make everything better but I know it is coming. I know it is :)

I decided to use this format now because it seemed like I could customize the background more. Yep, I wanted to make my blog pretty. LOL!.

1st Pinterest Project with my girls

I have been following postings on Pinterest for a while now. I have pinned many craft projects that I have wanted to do with my girls. One of the ones that caught my eye the most was. http://www.meetthedubiens.com/2011/03/rainbow-shaving-cream-bath-paint.html

They were so excited that they got to make the bath paint!!

I love the way that they are looking in this picture!

My girls..... My world
Breanna loved painting. Her favorite color was GREEN!

Hailey Marie loved painting too. She loved using all the colors.

Their masterpiece!!!

Breanna wanted her foot painted so she could make a foot print!

They had a blast doing this and Momma didn't mind because they were getting clean :) I was wondering if the color would actually come off of the bathtub. We live in an apartment and it is made with cheaper materials. I had no issues getting it to come off. I wouldn't recommend leaving it on the tub for a long time though. I cleaned the walls off as I was rinsing the girls off. I wouldn't let it dry on the walls. Overall, I would say that our 1st Pinterest experience was a success <3
